Batteries and pumped hydro now have a realistic efficiency rating, to reflect losses incurred over charge-discharge cycles. These have both been set to 80%, in keeping with typical values found in industrial installations.

Great addition to a brilliant simulation. I’m looking forward to playing the latest version and comparing notes with Guy Martin, who had the chance to play with the real thing at the National Grid control centre!
They are surprisingly similar, apart from scale and complexity (obviously). The main difference is that with the National Grid, they have to pay for electricity, whereas with GTS you just turn the knobs up.
